A new video series highlighting pork producers in Pennsylvania launched this week, sponsored by the PA Pork Producers Council. The PPPC, funded by the Pork Checkoff, invested in video and photography to showcase the real people behind real pork production. The videos can be found on the PA Pork YouTube channel, social media outlets and on connected and traditional TV.
The campaign is aimed to showcase pork producers as community members, local leaders and a trusted source producing protein for the family table.
Pork is a versatile, easy to prepare option that offers great nutritional benefits when incorporated in a diet. The PPPC videos encourage grocery shoppers to feel confident in purchasing and preparing pork.

The Pennsylvania Pork Producers Council (PPPC) administers the Pork Checkoff on behalf of the state’s nearly 3,000 pig farmers. PPPC acts as a steward for Pork Checkoff funds at the state level and is charged with executing specific programs in the areas of promotion, research and education. No funds may be used for lobbying or to influence government policy. Checkoff-funded promotions are designed to increase domestic pork sales through consumer, retail and food service outreach. Additionally, Checkoff-funded research is administered in all areas of pork production, processing and human nutrition to develop a higher quality, more profitable and innovative product in the competitive meat protein market.
